Sometimes children say the simplest things — and those are the ones that break your heart. Last year, when we were giving out New Year’s gifts, a little girl softly whispered: “Can I have a doll? Not a big one… a small one, so I can hug her when I’m sad?”
And a little boy, about seven years old, holding his mother’s hand, smiled and said: “I want a car… a tiny one. So I can carry it in my pocket. And… so Dad can know that I’m waiting for him.”
There’s a boy who dreams of a remote-controlled helicopter; a girl who wants a puzzle, “so I can put the pieces together and dream”; and a teenager who asked: “Could I just have warm gloves? I have a little sister — let the beautiful gift go to her.”
And here we are — another difficult year has passed… More families have arrived in Plovdiv, more people… and almost all of them — with children.
Many children — whose lives have been torn apart by war and uncertainty — will welcome the New Year for the fourth time far from home, far from their loved ones, far from the childhood they deserve.
Today, there are around 20,000 underage refugee children from Ukraine living in Bulgaria. These are thousands of little hearts that still believe in miracles… if we help them feel one.
🌟 Our goal is to collect 300 children’s gifts — 300 little stories into which each of us can bring light.
We are collecting: 🎁 toys — cars, dolls, puzzles, board games; 🎨 arts & crafts sets; 📚 children’s books; 🧣 warm items — socks, scarves, gloves; 📒 school notebooks — because a great number of children already attend Bulgarian schools, and for them new, colorful notebooks are a real joy!
And we also want to give every child a Roshen New Year’s set — a ray of hope from Ukraine, a reminder of a bright childhood, and the taste of those holidays when the whole family gathered around the table. Together…

Every gift is not just an item. It is a message: “We see you. We remember you. You are not alone.”
And from the bottom of our hearts, we dream that this year will be brighter for our children, and that at least 300 young hearts will feel warmth — will feel that the world has not forgotten them. We truly want this holiday to be not a wound from the past, but a gentle touch of kindness that restores faith, rekindles hope, and says: “You deserve light. You deserve a miracle.”
