Foundation “Ukraine Support and Renovation” The project is organized with the support of Plovdiv University, whose lecturers conduct the training based on a signed agreement.
Target group
25 participants – Ukrainian refugees living in the city of Plovdiv.
Before the start of the course, each participant undergoes a preliminary interview to assess their motivation and initial level of preparation.
All participants plan to stay long-term in Plovdiv. Many of them already have jobs but aim to find positions that better match their professional qualifications. To achieve this, they need to learn Bulgarian at least at a basic level for daily communication.

To provide Ukrainian refugees with A2-level language skills that will enable them to successfully integrate into Bulgarian society, facilitate finding suitable employment, improve daily communication, and boost their confidence.
Project tasks
To organize a Bulgarian language course with professional instructors.
To provide comfortable and accessible learning conditions.
To develop a curriculum that will enable participants to reach A2 level.
To issue certificates of completion verifying the level of Bulgarian language proficiency.
Implementation period
2 months, course start date – [start date].
Class schedule
Frequency: 3 times a week.
From 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (2 academic hours).
Location: Community Center “Kompas,” Maria Luiza Blvd. 47.
Course characteristics
The classes are conducted by lecturers from Plovdiv University.
Upon completing the course, participants will undergo final testing and receive an A2 level certificate issued by the university.
The curriculum is designed in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) requirements.
Participants are highly motivated: the average course completion rate over the past year exceeds 85%, demonstrating a serious commitment to learning.
Expected results
Participants will acquire A2 level skills, including:
Basic communication on everyday topics.
Basics of writing, reading, and understanding speech.
Obtaining the certificate will be an important step in the professional integration of participants (job applications, skill development).
Increased confidence in daily communication and improved social adaptation.
Required funding
Total cost of the course for 2 months: 4,000 BGN.
This amount covers:
Instructor services.
Preparation and provision of educational materials.
Certification of participants.
Methods for monitoring and evaluation
Entry test to determine the participants’ initial level.
Final test conducted by Plovdiv University.
Collecting feedback from participants through surveys.
Preparing a report on the achieved goals of the project.
