THE TRAINING PROCESS
Preparation and defense of a business plan for their entrepreneurial idea by the Academy’s participants. The business plan must adhere to a specific format outlined in the study guide provided to each Academy trainee.
The sessions are conducted with the support of the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation.

Fourth group 19-10.2024 (Sofia)
On October 24, 2024, the first training week at BASE Academy for Ukrainians in Sofia began.

New acquaintances, new meetings, new business ideas. Learning promises to be exciting.
On October 31, 2024, interesting discussions on market research and preliminary business plan reviews took place at BASE Academy (Sofia).

November 14, 2024 Sales are the topic of this training week at BASE Academy in Sofia.

On November 21, 2024, an important lecture on marketing and advertising took place at BASE Academy.
The lecturer was Yulia Romanchuk, a marketing specialist (Renault dealership, security agency), crisis marketer (clothing factory), and a graduate of the Business Academy for Starting Entrepreneurs (BASE).
November 28, 2024 the participants of BASE learned the secrets of rhetoric and developed presentation skills.
The lecturer was Olena Palatovska, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor at Kyiv National Linguistic University.
On December 5, 2024, the focus is on studying pricing tactics and principles.

On December 19, 2024, there was a lesson on accounting and business taxation.
The lecturer was Nikolína Lazarova, Chief Accountant at the consulting company Advisea, which offers a wide range of services for market entry and business development for foreign companies and organizations.

January 9, 2025 Together we are a force! This slogan is the main thing for the successful operation of any enterprise. What kind of people does the company need for effective work? What are their roles and responsibilities?
The lecturer was Nata Ellis, CFO of the Speedflow Communications group (UK, Bulgaria); head of the charitable foundation “Ukraine Support & Renovation” (Plovdiv, Bulgaria).

On February 8, 2025, BASE Academy in Sofia will host the city’s first public defense of business plans and the awarding of Certificates for successful completion of training.
Seventeen business projects were presented for consideration by an independent jury, which included:
- Daniel Pangev – PhD in Social Management at the University of Economics in Sofia, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and expert in human resources management.
- Olena Shopova – owner and manager of the accounting firm “Plameli Finance” Ltd., tax consultant.
- Andriy Tsibulko – owner and manager of the distribution company Universal Beauty Group.
The jury members noted the high quality of the business projects and presentations by all participants and selected three winners, whose works were recognized as the best and who will be awarded cash prizes by the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation:
🏆 1st place – Irina Ivchenko with the business plan for the children’s center “Speak & Play,” which provides comprehensive speech therapy and psycho-educational services for children, including play methods, sensorimotor neuropsychological correction, and group activities.
🥈 2nd place – Oleksandr Dubina with the project “EcoLarva” for the production of environmentally friendly and effective feed.
🥉 3rd place – Marina Yano with the project “Mint Studio” – a studio for edible bouquets, specializing in the creation and design of bouquets and compositions from edible ingredients.
Congratulations to all participants who presented their projects to the respected jury, and we wish development and prosperity to your business!
All 25 graduates of BASE Academy in Sofia received Certificates for successfully completing the training and became members of the BASE Club of the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation.
The certificates were ceremonially presented by the president and CEO of the “America for Bulgaria” Foundation, Nancy L. Schiller, and the Third Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria, Olga Birdina, who congratulated the BASE graduates and wished them success in starting and developing their own business.
