Every August, children and parents prepare for the new school year. They happily choose new backpacks, stationery, albums, and notebooks. Every parent strives to delight their children with beautiful and high-quality new supplies, to start the school year on a positive note.
Unfortunately, many refugee parents from Ukraine are facing enormous difficulties. They have to make immense efforts to provide the essentials—shelter and food for their families. They lack the resources to purchase everything needed for the new school year. It is especially hard for families with more than one child or vulnerable members. Every penny counts and goes toward food or medicine. Social services do not provide sufficient support to Ukrainian families, and only we can give the children a festive start and offer hope to their parents.
Our foundation aims to help. We want to provide backpacks filled with supplies (stationery, notebooks, and albums) for 250 children in Plovdiv who will be starting school for the first time this year. These are children from large and vulnerable families who deserve this small celebration. The cost of one such set is 120-130 BGN.
We will gratefully acknowledge every donation, and on September 12th, we invite all donors to join us in bringing joy to the children! Your support will make their first school day unforgettable and joyful. Thank you for your participation and support!
