Summer camp

Relevance:

February 24, 2022 was an ordinary winter day for the whole world, but for the citizens of Ukraine, this day became the first day of another reality - the reality of war.

The war affected not only adults, this tragedy did not pass by young Ukrainians.

Many families, in search of safety, were forced to move to the countries of the European Union.

Bulgaria became one of the countries that accepted families in need of help, and the government, together with volunteers and foundations, are doing everything possible so that Ukrainians can find their second home in our country.

Our country has accepted about 200,000 citizens of Ukraine. Today, there are still about 100,000 in the country, of which 35,000 are children.

Today, one of the most urgent issues of adaptation of refugees from Ukraine is the possibility of continuing work for adults, as well as continuing education for children.

Purposes:

It is planned to create children's summer camps for children from Ukraine, which will allow the child to integrate comfortably and without unnecessary stress into the Bulgarian environment.

Also, immersing yourself in a Bulgarian-speaking environment will allow you to learn the language more comfortably.

In addition, it is planned to teach compulsory subjects to prepare children for the new academic year 2022/2023 in schools in Bulgaria.

Implementation method:

Placement and opening of children's summer camps is envisaged in college premises, which are empty during summer vacations.

It is planned to open summer camps in such cities as Sofia, Varna, Plovdiv, Burgas.

Meals for children are planned to be organized with the involvement of catering companies

Expected result:

It is expected that such a project will allow to adapt and prepare school children for the beginning of the school year in Bulgaria. The ability to leave children under supervision during working hours will allow parents to more actively look for work or allow them to go to work according to a standard work schedule without worrying about their children.

The municipality of Bulgaria will be able to attract additional active citizens, which will have a positive effect on the working climate of the region. It will also allow solving the issue of employment of refugees from Ukraine and, in the future, reducing the costs of maintaining forced migrants.
