The “Ukraine Support and Renovation” Foundation was established as a non-profit organization for the purpose of public benefit activities on March 17, 2022. The foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees, which serves as the Collective Supreme Body, in accordance with Article 39, Paragraph 1 of the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act. <\/p>\n

Activities of the Foundation in 2023<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The Foundation’s humanitarian center continued to support households in 2023 with essential goods, medicines, and food products.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In 2023, nearly 18,991 individuals were assisted.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. In 2023, the foundation continued to support the population and public organizations in Ukraine with generators, portable batteries, solar batteries, solid fuel stoves, hygiene materials, clothing and footwear, as well as other food products.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The total value of the donations provided to Ukraine in 2023 amounted to 619,947 BGN.<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Project \u201cSecond Home\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        In 2023, with financial support from donors and UNHCR in Bulgaria, we continued the renovation work on the 4th floor of the building as part of the “Second Home” project, which expanded the building\u2019s capacity to 150 residents. We also repaired the heating system throughout the building and constructed a playground in the yard of the “Second Home.”<\/p>\n

        In 2023, accommodation was provided to 274 individuals with temporary protection status at the “Second Home.”<\/p>\n

        In 2023, we continued to carry out the following educational activities for children and adults:<\/p>\n

        – Bulgarian language lessons<\/p>\n

        – English classes for children<\/p>\n

        – robotics classes for teenagers<\/p>\n

        – choreography classes<\/p>\n

        – adult fitness training<\/p>\n

        – judo and hand-to-hand combat training<\/p>\n

        – choral singing and piano lessons<\/p>\n

        – master classes in profile and creativity<\/p>\n

        – Literary evenings and discussions are held in the library<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. In 2023, the foundation continued its successful efforts in providing professional psychological support through the \u201cPsychological Support Center\u201d project, with the initiative \u201cFrom Heart to Heart\u201d – a program aimed at offering psychological support to Ukrainians affected by the war, including children and adults. The center provides individual consultations, crisis counseling, support groups, psychocorrection groups, lectures, workshops, collaboration with prominent specialists, and webinars. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          A total of 3,754 individuals received psychological support in 2023.<\/p>\n

            \n
          1. One of the main goals of the Foundation is to support the socialization and adaptation of children in Bulgaria. In April 2023, the Municipality of Plovdiv provided the Foundation with an additional space in the Southern District for the establishment of a buffer center for children, making a total of three buffer centers operated by the Foundation. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            For 2023, the buffer centers for children were attended by 110 children, who subsequently successfully transitioned to municipal child care facilities.<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. With financial support from UNICEF and the Bulgarian Women’s Fund, the foundation launched the “Children’s Summer Camp” for the second consecutive year. The goal is to assist school-aged children in their process of socialization and adaptation to the new environment, as well as to support their working parents. The foundation successfully implemented this project through active activities such as: <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              – Learning English and Bulgarian<\/p>\n

              – Psychological support<\/p>\n

              – Art activities<\/p>\n

              – Familiarization with the landmarks and culture of Bulgaria.<\/p>\n

              252 children attended the summer camp organized by the foundation from June to August 2023.<\/p>\n

              1. With financial support from the World Health Organization Office in Bulgaria, a fully equipped medical office and treatment room were opened at the temporary accommodation center “Vtoriy Dom”. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Medical consultations and medications were provided to 1,361 individuals.<\/p>\n

                A series of informational meetings were held, during which the rights and obligations of health insurance holders were explained, including how to choose a personal doctor, check health insurance status, and other healthcare-related issues.<\/p>\n

                1. Since July 2023, the foundation \u201cUkraine Support and Renovation,\u201d in partnership with the \u201cAmerica for Bulgaria\u201d Foundation, has been organizing the BASE<\/strong> Program<\/strong><\/a>, which is aimed at creating a favorable environment for sustainable economic development in Bulgaria and encouraging residents from various regions to start or develop their own businesses.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  The program in Plovdiv is unique in that it is geared towards training Ukrainians who have received temporary protection in Bulgaria due to war and want to start or expand their own business in the country where they live.<\/p>\n

                  From July to December 2023, the program concluded with 59 entrepreneurs and 75 attendees. <\/p>\n

In December 2023, the foundation organized a Christmas celebration for nearly 500 children, providing each child with a gift set of Roshen candies. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
