The Ukrainian volunteers in Plovdiv, with the support of the municipality, in less than two months managed to repair and rebuild the building of the former Lung Hospital, which became a second home for dozens of Ukrainian families with children.

Next to the main building, there is a two-story building that can be transformed into a Children’s Center – the much-needed study center for children, where children can learn, play and have fun while their mothers look for jobs, attend interviews and learn Bulgarian.

In order to help with the renovation of this future Children’s Center, we decided to organize an exhibition and auction of children’s drawings by Bulgarian and Ukrainian children.

“Dimitar Georgiev” Museum Gallery – Plovdiv participates in the charity exhibition by donating 27 works by Israeli artists, many of whom are connected to Ukraine – they were born or completed their education there.

Works by the authors presented in the charity exhibition are owned by museums and private collections around the world.

You can view the exhibition from July 12 to 25 at the Ivan Vazov Public Library (Plovdiv) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and take part in the charity auction on July 26.

The purpose of the auction is to collect 20,000 euros for external and internal renovation of the Children’s Center building – and for it to be ready before the end of the summer.
